In 2015, we packed our bags and went for an educative adventure where conversations, explorations, creative mappings and tailor-made material were the priority. On that road, we met a team of brilliant people, tutors, coaches and travel buddies all bringing a passion for their topics with stories to share that would enrich each step of our journey.  Our aim for the second chapter of our educative adventure was to focus on more experiential and contributive activities. Each of these milestones would be done with real life applications and explorations that would be linked to the contributive board project, where we could create a collection of Acts of Good from our investigations in supporting nature, the marine world, the animal world as well as bringing people together with food preparation and distribution.

We will now not have the opportunity in this life to create our board together.  As I was preparing the brief for our team of tutors on board with the idea, Greg left this world, but we will do our best to create it through the Acts of Good of the Foundation guided by the essence, heart and energy which our younger son was all about.

the RED DRAGONFLY & THE MONKEY DRAGON STAMP

Red Dragonfly logo: At the very beginning of our work on the foundation project and the design of the logo, a red dragonfly would appear near the steps of our family home where most brainstorming happened. Having never seen a red dragonfly before then, we looked into its symbolism and from our research a beautiful message was delivered to us: Red dragonflies are rare and often appear to people at times of loss and death. The red dragonfly is the symbol of both death and eternal love and often makes appearances at such times, with the message that our transformation carries us to freedom and eternal love. The Native Americans perceive the red dragonfly as the soul of the dead and delivering the message that the soul of the departed is free…

The Monkey and Dragon stamp: this was inspired by the Chinese Zodiac sign of Greg and his character. Greg was both born in, and 12 years later left this world in, the year of the monkey. He displayed many of the character traits of a cheeky monkey! The dragon being the angel and the protector of the monkey in the Chinese Zodiac, it felt natural to combine both energies together, both the yin and the yang, of Gregory.
