Since its establishment, the Foundation has:
Funded the salaries for 14 months of a dedicated team of playworkers in the Sierra Leone Inclusion Project play scheme for disabled children
Provided funds for a daily hot meal for one year for all 525 children in an orphanage/nursery school in Malawi
Paid for equipment and medical supplies for an animal rescue centre in Afghanistan
Funded seeded coral nursery racks at a reef regeneration project in Bali, Indonesia
During the COVID-19 pandemic, contributed funds to ensure pupils at the two Rajasthan schools (and, exceptionally, their families) continue to be provided with food.
Funded the cost for attendance by students at a regional inter-school ‘olympics’ sports event in Udaipur
Sponsored the cost of education of 19 bright children from the poorest areas of Rishikesh in India. An ongoing commitment has been made to see each of these children up to graduation from secondary school to University and perhaps beyond.
Each of those 19 children will also, for the first time in their lives, get a birthday cake each year, large enough to share with their whole family.
Sponsored three annual 3-day sports events at the Rajasthan school, providing funds for the set-up costs, prizes and meals for approximately 10,000 attendees and their families. These events are not only for the children of the school, but for the other schools in the area invited to join the sports day and to compete in the activities.
Paid for the school uniforms for 200 children at another orphanage and school in India.
Paid for urgent and necessary repairs to pathways and stairs of a school to make it safe for the children to get around the school.
Funded the cost of three reverse osmosis water purification system for two schools and a training institute in remote areas of Rajasthan, giving the children of the school clean drinking water for the first time in their lives; and subsequently paying for “armouring” of sensitive parts of the equipment which had come under attack from rodents.
Sponsored three annual sports days in a village in the Philippines, providing sports kit, trophies and food.
Contributed to the cost of building a paddock for the horses at an orphanage, school and horse rescue centre in South Africa and subsequently contributed to the running costs for one year.
Funded the cost of medical bills and food for abused and rescued dogs, including visiting the dogs and providing comfort to them in their isolation and rehabilitation, leading to adoption by loving families.
Twice funded and arranged food distribution in the UAE to workers and abandoned seafarers.
Funded the cost of breakfast at a Sikh Temple in Singapore for students and the poor.
For an 18 month period, provided construction workers in the UAE with daily teatime snacks and fruit juice.
Funded the cost for three years for a full time Sports Teacher plus necessary sports equipment for the Rajasthan school.
